The author Emily Bronte lived an eccentric, closely guarded life. She was born in 1818, two years after Charlotte—the author of Jane Eyre and a year and a half before her sister Anne, who also became an author. Her father worked as a church rector, and her aunt, who raised the Bronte children after their mother died, was deeply religious. Emily Bronte did not take to her aunt’s Christian fervor, the character of Joseph, a caricature of an evangelical, may have been inspired by her aunt’s religiosity. The Brontes lived in Haworth, a Yorkshire village in the midst of the moors. These wild, desolate expanses—later the setting of Wuthering Heights—made up the Brontes daily environment, and Emily lived among them her entire life. She died in 1848, at the age of thirty.
I like this book because it rest on the unforgettable characters. Wuthering Heights is based partly on the Gothic tradition, a style of literature that featured supernatural encounters, crumbling ruins, moonless nights, and grotesque imagery, seeking to create effects of mystery and fear. I would like to recommend this book to other readers.

This book is very uncomfortable to read. The main line says that Heathcliff, an abandoned child, was adopted by the kind Mr. Earnshaw. Who would have thought that he was the poisonous snake rescued by the farmer? When Catherine (Mr. Earnshaws daughter), the only one who loved him, died, he began to take revenge on the whole world crazily. Hendry (Catherines brother), Mr Linton (Catherines husband) and Isabella (Catherines sister-in-law) all died directly or indirectly at Heathcliffs hands. Not only that, he also buried the happiness of the next generation Hareton (Hendrys son), Linton (his own child) and Little Catherine (Catherine and Lintons daughter) with his love for Catherine.
After reading more than half of the book, I was gnashing my teeth and denouncing Heathcliffs abnormality and cruelty, angry at his persecuting innocent children by all means. In the last few chapters, Joshs life ended in a hurry. He really died so lightly? But in fact, he is also a poor man. When the only star in the night fell-when Catherine died, his world was only dark, and his last bit of humanity was disillusioned. Destroying everyones happiness is the driving force for him to survive. This deformed executioner just never got true love, so he simply became the devil that everyone hated. Hateful people must have their own pity.

This summer vacation, I finished reading Wuthering Heights with great pain. By telling the emotional cup of two generations, Wuthering Heights shows us the spiritual oppression, tension and conflict of people in capitalist society in the 19th century. After Catherines death, Heathcliffs human nature became distorted, which made him spend the rest of his life in pain.
Heathcliff was ridiculed and fooled by Hindley since he was a child, and Catherines departure led to the distortion of his human nature. If he has no property, he will rob it at all costs, become the owner of Wuthering Heights after Hindleys death, and take revenge on his son. Catherine and Clinton gave birth to a very beautiful daughter after they got married. In memory of Catherine, Linton named him little Catherine. However, Catherine died after giving birth to her. Catherines death filled Heath Creff with hatred. Even though Catherine didnt step out of Thrushcross Grange under Lintons management, the arrival of Linton Heathcliff (the son of Heathcliff) made her fall in love with Linton. However, Linton was sickly since childhood, so Heathcliff took revenge earlier. He tried to keep Catherine and Allen at Wuthering Heights and forced Catherine to marry Linton. Linton died of the disappearance of his daughter. Heathcliff also tried to take Thrushcross Grange as his own after Lintons death, and ushered in death in loneliness and emptiness.
There are three graves on the hillside: Catherine in the middle, Linton on one side and Heathcliff on the other.

Cassies brother died, Cassie fell in love with Little Linton, met him in the wild, was tricked into the villa by Hickley, was under house arrest, and was forced to marry Little Linton. When little Linton died, the villa and the grange fell into Hickleys hands. A few years later, Hickley died, and all his possessions were left to Cathy.
Hickory was a good man, but he was abused at Earnshaws house and hated them. Catherine used to like Hickory, but if she married him, it might not be so much.
I like this book because of its twists and turns.
